Watermelon Garland
Here's a cute DIY for you to celebrate National Watermelon Day. Yes, there really is a day dedicated to watermelons so have a slice on August 3rd and make this cute watermelon garland.
Supplies Needed:
red, green, black and white paper
tape
bakers twine
hole punch
glue stick
scissors
Step 1: Cut circles out of your paper using a circle cutter or you can trace small bowls and cut out with scissors. These can be any size you want your garland to be, just make the white piece smaller than the green and red smaller than the white. We used 5 1/2 inch circle for Green paper, 4 1/2 inch circle for white paper and 4 inch circle for red paper. Glue the three pieces together using a glue stick in the order below.
Step 2: Cut your circles in half.
Step 3: Use hole punch to create seeds from black paper. Glue some seeds to each red layer using the glue sick.
Step 4: Adhere watermelon shapes to twine (you can get twine here) using tape. Hang up and enjoy National Watermelon Day!
