Pom Pom Push Pins-DIY

Is there anything better than a homemade gift?  Brighten up your office or fridge with these easy and inexpensive Pom Pom Push Pins.

To make your Pom Pom Push Pins you will need:

Yarn
Fork
Hot Glue
Thumbtacks
Scissors

Start by wrapping the yarn around the fork 35 times.

Take a piece of yarn and tie the middle of the pom pom (use the prongs
as your guide) tight.

Slip the yarn off of your fork and tie again as tight as you can.

Use your scissors and cut open every loop.

Now trim your Pom Pom so that it looks even all around.

Hot glue your Pom Pom onto a tack, or you can use a magnet.

Cute right!  Now you can display all your photos or reminders on your fridge or cork board.

If you go down to the woods today...Teddy Bear Party!

How adorable is this Teddy Bear Picnic Party by Clare from Mondocherry for her daughter, Tilly?  Clare said it was loads of fun, and very easy to prepare for. The party was held in a park and most of the party, decor and games were handmade.

The invitations were created from extra large matchboxes which were covered with kraft paper, and had the words of the well loved Teddy Bear's Picnic song.  Little handmade felt Teddy's were slipped in the box.  Teddy's were easy to make - just two pieces of felt and a bit of wadding.  So cute!

                                  Everyone found the party!

Check out this handmade gingham garland.....adorable!

Handmade bear ears using headbands from the craft store and some fur.

One of the games was a treasure hunt following (laminated) Teddy footprints.

Lunch was packaged up in individual boxes - honey sandwiches of course!

The kids loved playing with Goldilocks and the 3 Bears wooden-spoon puppets.  Another handmade easy idea to make!

Plain brown paper bags were embellished with a Teddy face and furry ears for the goodie bags.

Thank You, Clare for sharing your Teddy Bear Party, and all your handmade ideas with us!
